INDEX & What it is I am thinking of today

To create a sports theme here: Ron McLean will not be on Hockey Night in Canada this year. Shocking stuff.

And, just in case you're not following them yourself (which I can't understand), my precious Chargers are now the only 4-0 team in the NFL.

In the coming weeks, there will be some exciting news on the MaRS front, and we're down to a week and a day until Antony launches Siteway World. [insert bated breath here]

Finally, out of the archive, and I meant to post this link, but kept forgetting - definately one of the weirdest news stories I've read in a while. Partly to do with the content, and partly to do with the way it was written.
"I was up on the seventh floor when I heard a thump," said linebacker Sheldon Benoit. "I looked out the window and I could see some legs sticking out. When we got down there his head was all busted in."

Go Bolts!

The perenially middle of the road San Diego Chargers have begun the season 3-0. They make me happy. So let's all cross our fingers that their success carries on. Their biggest challenge yet: the New England Patriots.

It's cold out there. I mean really cold. I woke up this morning with a frozen nose, my coffee is steaming like mad, and my feet are like stones. I'm so happy. The first morning below 10 degrees happens to be on the first day of Autumn - which is wonderfully fitting. I'm so excited for autumn this year (as I am every year) that I've already started planning which sweaters I'm going to wear in the next few days. Tonight I'm going to put on my black front-zip fleece.

My posts have been sporadic of late. It hasn't been because I've been too busy, as we've been posting to our wedding site on a fairly regular basis. But starting during the month preceeding the wedding I've been feeling sort of cuffed by my situation here. The last 3 months or so have seen my attention almost entirely focussed on the wedding and everything it has entailed. Most of what I've wanted to write about has been much more we oriented than koczij.com oriented.

I suppose this is simply a microcosm of what's to come for the next little while. It's not that I'm losing myself in the marriage, its more mundane than that. Where do I post my thoughts on the honeymoon? The obvious choice is the wedding site. What about thoughts on the wedding? wedding site. Comments on the new furniture for the house? mmm, that one's a toughy. Anyway, its not as big a deal as I'm making it, just an interesting change in my thought processes; one that I've only started to reflect upon now.

So, new news. Since getting back from the honeymoon, things have been going incredibly well. We have been on a bit of a shopping spree. On Saturday we bought a 36" television. I have never owned anything like it. It is so huge. In the store it looked big, and I thought, wow, that'll be really nice. But when we got it in the family room, we realised that it is so big that there will actually be logistical problems with finding a stand that can both hold it and fit in the room. I've got a bit of guilt about the opulence of it. Then on Sunday we went to the Home Show, which is really just a furniture store that, like costco, you need to buy a membership to. We bought a loveseat and an armchair by Natuzzi, and this armchair without the ottoman.

I've been sick since Monday night, but I'm feeling much better now. Things to look forward to: October 8th - the launch of a new Siteway.
