Ostia Lido
Though I'm not Italian, I was born in Ostia Lido, a sleepy little town right on the western coast of Italy and a scant 50km west of Rome. I think Ostia Lido is to Rome what Wasaga Beach is to Toronto — a small resort town solely dedicated to the weekend pleasures of city dwellers.
